The International Yoga Day was celebrated in the school premises on 21st June 2019 to bring peace and harmony. Children performed Asanas, Notice Board decoration, Speech etc. The school is thankful to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for inculcating Yoga as a part of the syllabus.

Green Valley Public School celebrated its 3rd Annual Day on 4th March in the school premises. It was presided by the chief guest Shri.Dr.K.Senthilraj IAS (sub collector-Hosur) and guest of Honour Shri.L.Kalanidhi IFS (District forest officer, Tirupattur) and Shri.Dr.V.Palani, Ph.D.PDR (USA). The function started at 5.30 PM with prayer song followed by the prize distribution for the best proficiency and attendance holders.
Cultural program began with a dance by the tiny tots. Every class gave their performances with grace and got a big round of applause which include pushpanjali and contemporary dance. The programme concluded at 8.45PM with a National Anthem.
Pongal is a Tamil word which means ‘Over flowing’. This festival signifies good wishes, wealth, abundance and prosperity. This festival was celebrated by GVPS here at Natrampalli on 12th January. The programme commenced at 2 PM with Tamilthai Vazhthu and Sadhana of Grade V welcomed the gathering followed by the speeches of Haritha of Grade V and Kanishga of Grade VIII in which they said about the first, second, third and fourth day of Pongal and how it’s celebrated in India.
Pongal celebration will not happen without folk dance and song. Our students performed dances for Tamil folk songs in which they showed the real harvesting in the field and it was joyous and filled our hearts and may lead our days ahead with happiness. The pongal was cooked in a new pot at auspicious time followed by the pooja. Sweet pongal was offered to all the students and parents. Surprisingly, Our Principal shared a light moment with the gathering synchronizing few dance steps with the dance master spreading the light of joy and happiness in the hearts of students, parents and teachers. Finally our Principal Mr.Arokiyaraj gave the pongal message that ‘Pongal Marks joy and cheer and brings along everything that’s best’. May this pongal brings good luck and prosperity and hoping that may be joyous, and fills your days ahead with happiness. The programme concluded with the Vote of thanks by Swathi of Grade VII followed by National Anthem.
Christmas was celebrated in a grand manner on December 22nd here at GVPS. It is an annual festival celebrated in remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ. The celebration commenced with prayer song and Keerthiga of Grade VI welcomed the gathering. The deep significance of this celebration is the birth of Jesus Christ. Our KG students presented it through a tableau in a wonderful manner and the performance states that the birth of Jesus Christ was not the ordinary birth of an ordinary man. It was the birth of the most unique person in history. On this unique occasion of Christmas celebration our GVPS kids performed dance and sang carols with joy and great enthusiasm and all the children enjoyed to the beats of jingle Bells. On this occasion teachers were given the opportunity to participate in sports such as bun eating, water filling and balloon bursting and some won prizes too. The whole program was a story about ‘The Birth of Jesus’. At the end of the program Santa clause arrived and filled the entire crowd with joy and danced with everyone with great enthusiasm and the New Year cake was cut by one of our board member Mr.Anbu which was presented by Grade VIII students. The cakes were distributed to everyone. The program concluded with the Vote of thanks by Govarthan of Grade VIII followed by National Anthem.
Green Valley Public School organized its 1st Annual Sports meet on 16th of Dec 2016. Its main objective was to develope the students sporting spirit. The inauguration commenced at 10AM with chief guests welcome and our chief guests shri K.V.Shakthivel Principal, District municipal cum Judiciary magistrate, Vaniyambadi and Shri S.N.Thejasvi IFS District forest officer planted the Saplings. Followed by the Chief guests felicitation. Our school chairman Mr.V.Veerasamy felicitated our Chief Guest Shri.K.V.Shakthivel Principal, District Municipal Cum Judiciary Magistrate Vaniyambadi with a shawl and a memento and our correspondent Mr.M.Velu felicitated our chief guest Shri S.N. Thejasvi IFS District forest officer with shawl and memento. To mark respect to our national flag and to feel one with our nation our chief guests Shri.K.V. Shakthivel hoisted our national flag, Shri.S.N.Thejasvi IFS hoisted our Olympic flag and our school chairman Mr.V.Veerasamy hoisted our school flag then our chief guest Mr.K.V.Shakthivel declared the meet open Marchpast is all about synchronization and teamwork, marching is contingent demands, alertness and an unspoken co-ordination , the drumbeat rolled the band striked and high pitched voice issued a command.
The ground was full of life, colourful and it was packed. The parade marched on and it was an excellent marching of Cheran, Chozhan, Pallavan and Pandiyan houses. It was a well co-ordinated march past and it was a feast to the eyes and ears of the gatherings. Followed by the Olympic torch relay, it ignited the passion of sporting spirit. The first torch bearer of Olympic flame was Master Kalaiselvan of Grade VII and finally it was handed over to Kanishga of Grade VIII by Kaviya of Grade VII. The flame of peace and harmony was lit in our school premises in order to remove the darkness in the lives of all followed by figure marching. The Oath will encourage fidelity to the extent that continues to believe that one cannot escape ultimate accountability for a breach of faith and it was administered by our chief guest Mr.K.V.Shakthivel. Mass drill is marching, Plain and simple our students presented the mass drill in a well co-ordinated way. Dancing is an energizing, captivating experience We live it! We feel it! We breathe it! We love it! And it allows one to express one self, Our GVPS kids of Grade I to III performed a mind blowing performance that provides physical / mental refreshment and relaxation to the audience around there, yoga in daily life is a system of practice consisting of eight levels of development in the areas of Physical, mental, social and spiritual health our GVPS students proved it and made the gathering to understand the importance of yoga through their performance. Followed by the event karate, our little super stars performed karate in an excellent way as everyone was inspired and admired their performance. Our honorable chief guest Mr.S.N.Thejasvi IFS addressed the gathering and delivered his words of appreciation to the students as well to the teachers.
In the afternoon we had athletic events such as running race, shot-put, relay, long jump etc. The school ground was full of life and activity the event was hard and tough between all the houses. Each student put their efforts to reach the goal. The final touch of the event is the kho-kho match and it was a very interesting final match between the house of chozhan and pandiyan and finally the house of pallavan won the game. The parents events such as musical chair and running race was also conducted. It was thrilling and enjoyable for them. All the efforts of students as well as parents were crowned with success and prizes were awarded by our correspondent and board members on that very special day itself. Our Principal Mr.Arockiyaraj announced the best march-past among the four houses is none other than chozhan house and overall championship received by the house of cheran. Finally the overall championship of the students won by the head girl kanishga of Grade VIII and the headboy Govarthan of Grade VIII. Then Mrs.Padmavathi thanked everyone for their presence followed by National Anthem. The programme concluded with the closing Ceremony.
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect here at GVPS. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Miss. Shahera Naaz. Our correspondent Mr. M. Velu hoisted the tricolour flag and the students of choir team sang flag song that awakened everyone’s respect towards our national flag. Through the cultural programme, the students expressed their love and gratitude towards our Motherland, India. Prizes were awarded for fancy dress students by our correspondent and the board members. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day of love and all religions are equal quoted by our Principal Mr. Arokiyaraj. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and sweets were distributed to everyone followed by the ‘National Anthem’.
